| Clutchcity.net Notes on Chris Mihm |
The junior Longhorn is definitely a top three pick. The biggest question hasn't been his skills but whether he was going to declare for the draft or not. With that decision out of the way, he will be taken near the top of the draft.
He has all the offensive and defensive skills to be a solid center in the NBA. His improved post skills, vertical leap and outside shot make him a threat to score and defend. His shot blocking in particular has greatly improved and his footwork is already excellent in the post. He is the leading shot blocker in Longhorn history in every shot-blocking category. He also ranks second all-time in scoring and rebounding despite leaving after his junior year. He should help whoever drafts him right away.
If there is any knock on Mihm, it is that he does not have the leadership qualities to match his overall skills. In addition, he may be relegated to more of an outside game because, despite his very good athleticism, it isn't quite on par with the NBA's best at his position.

| Strengths of Chris Mihm |
Excellent offensive skills including three-point range, great footwork and good hands. He is tough on the glass and can hit the outside shot about anywhere on the floor. On defense, he is a terrific shot blocker with a great vertical leap. He has excellent footwork on defense as well.

| Weaknesses of Chris Mihm |
Mihm has been criticized for not bringing it every night. He is a quiet guy who would not qualify as a vocal leader. He would probably be better off on a team where his leadership skills are not required. While he can run the floor in college, the NBA game might be a little speedy for him at first.

| Mihm on the Rockets? |
Mihm is likely to be gone by the time the Rockets select and it is doubtful they would take him even if they did move up seeing as how they are leaning towards a forward, but his skills and the fact he is a native Texan should prove tempting if the opportunity arises.
