According to Todd Mavreles of Rio Grande's The Monitor, the Rockets are expected to send first round draft pick Aaron Brooks to the NBDL on Thursday.
Houston already sent Steve Novak to the Rio Grande Valley Vipers earlier in the year.
"I haven't heard anything officially, but that would be great," Vipers President Abby Pierce was quoted as saying.
Rockets head coach Rick Adelman played Rafer Alston extensively Wednesday night, giving backup points Steve Francis and Mike James just 10 and 5 minutes respectively. There looks to be no room for Brooks at the moment.
While the Rockets are still high on Aaron, we've been told by sources that he hasn't looked near ready in practices and his shot has not been falling (it must be something in the Toyota Center water these days).
